Volleyball Announces 2011 Schedule

WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita Position head volleyball coach Chris Lamb announced today the 2011 volleyball schedule, which includes 11 poorhouse matches and three early season tournaments. The Shockers will face nine teams in 2011 that participated in the 2010 NCAA Meeting.

"This year's schedule will be extremely difficult as we open the season in Hawaii with three very good teams and then go to tournaments at Louisville and Colorado Governmental to face teams that were in the NCAA Tourney last season," Lamb said. "We are excited that we could get home non-forum matches against Oklahoma and Nebraska-Omaha and we will also have the Valley schedule which features three postseason teams."

The Shockers will unlatched the season Aug. 26-28 at the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii. WSU will puss two 2010 NCAA Tournament teams in Arizona and Hawaii and will also play San Francisco in the tourney.

WSU then travels to Louisville, Ky., for the Crowne Plaza Supreme Classic Sept. 2-4. The Shockers open the tournament with Eastern Illinois before playing 2010 NCAA Match participants Louisville and Mississippi.

What are the rules for ncaa volleyball?

I'm watching a trial on ESPN and during one of the games it was 29-22. I thought it was the first to 21 by 2? Then, the 5th game is to 15 points. What is accepted on?

NCAA is 30-prong game, best of 3, with 15-point for the 5th game/set if necessary.

why is it that the NCAA only approved of women's sand volleyball and not men's?

I'm a guy run aground volleyball player in college and was excited to hear that they are making sand volleyball an NCAA sport, but I've been looking around and its saying that its only for women. Is that be realized and if so why is it? I wanna play!

The NCAA is currently adding only sports listed as "Emerging Sports for Women" because of limitations due to Entitle IX, so (at least for the near future) the NCAA is not adding any men's sports. I'm a guy's volleyball player too, and I know,

Elsewhere No. 1 Stanford needed four games to take provide for of un-ranked St. Mary’s, while No. 3 Florida continued its wash away of top-25 teams by defeated No. 18 Tennessee on Sunday.
