Hoagland leads USA Softball to two wins at Canadian Open

Japan again took the initial lead but this time the U.S. mounted a comeback to defeat Japan 5-1. After Japan scored in the third inning off a Maki Furuta separate to take a lead, the U.S. scored five runs in the fifth inning to lead Japan for the first time all tournament.

Molly Johnson (Tucson, Ariz.) reached first on an inaccuracy by Japan’s second baseman Haruna Sakamo to put the first runner on in the fifth inning. Johnson advanced to man Friday on an Ashley Holcombe (Fayetteville, Ga.) single. With two outs on the board, the U.S. began its five-run scoring drive. Taylor Hoagland (Bloom Mound, Texas) singled to plate Johnson and a double by Stacy May-Johnson (Reno, Nev.) gave the U.S. a 3-1 mollify,  bringing in new Japanese pitcher Sayuri Yamane for starter Naomi Miyamoto. Kaitlin Cochran (Yorba Linda, Calif.), the first beat Miyamoto faced, singled to plate May-Johnson and would score off a Valerie Arioto (Pleasanton, Calif.) look-alike. The team headed into the sixth inning with a 5-1 lead of which would be the final score.

Undoubtedly because every year the USA softball team blasted every team they played.

the energy reason is that softball, along with baseball will no longer be played in 2012 London Olympics.

just hope that the Chicago will win the hosting rights in 2016 so that these sports will takings as Olympic sports.

Your girls can toy with on the USA team and enter international games, but the Olympics is dropping softball.
Events and sports change regularly, they are voted on by fellow nations, and softball did not get enough support in the rest of the world

THE Supranational OLYMPIC COMMITTEE HAS DISCONTINUED THESE SPORTS AS THEY HAVE WITH OTHER SPORTS IN THE PAST. I.E. BAGMITON

IOC took the skip about out, which is a wrong decision to make

No profitable reason, probably like Jessica Mendoza said in an interview that I saw yesterday some of the people on the cabinet haven't even seen an Olympic softball game and if they did they wouldn't take it out of the Olympics. It boggles my mind how they

Quite because every year the USA softball team blasted every team they played.
