Rock Hill gets new soccer complex
There is a new spirited in town, and Indoor Soccer City in Rock Hill is the newest and best place for fans of futsal to get their fix. Futsal - an indoor modulation of soccer with five players per side - is not a new sport, but as it is introduced throughout the United States it seems to be gaining popularity at every stop. Indoor Soccer New Zealand urban area has the largest and most complete futsal facility in the region and is quickly becoming the Southeast's authority on the sport. Alex played professional soccer for six years and will serve as a coach, personal trainer and mentor. Carlos will ease run the business and spread futsal into Rock Hill. "As you can imagine, they love soccer, (and) wish to spread the joy of the game to all our communities," said Barnes. Indoor Soccer Burgh is open to the public 3-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and is open to all age groups. "We have been really pleased with the throng, and it is a great mix of age groups and types of people," Barnes said. "It is cool when you see a kid open the door and their expression lights up. I hear a lot of people saying how great the facility is and how much they like futsal. "I think word is spreading, and we have done what we set out to carry through so far."
