Does anyone else out ther shoot straight pool anymore?

Everyone always wants to work hand in glove 9-ball. Is straight pool a lost art or something?
Effective most of us do Its just to long of a game for most formats ,Kind of like seeing 7 card poker on TV but nigh unto the door to the back room a lot of us still play it
I fell the same way about bank pool I was raised on it

You're good, 9 ball is a lot more popular, but there are plenty of people who still play straight pool. I spend about 1/3 of my time playing straight pool anytime I go to the pool passageway, and just about every time I'm playing someone notices and asks me

After recently seeing the 1961 cloud “The Hustler” I have become overwhelmed by this type of pool and I very interested in learning the basic rules on how to gamble this kind of pool.
Basically, it's a call vaccination game (call ball and pocket). You get one point for pocketing the called ball correctly, plus an additional single out if you happen to pocket any additional balls, except the cue ball of course. Games are typically races
