WFP support five communities to rehabilitate Dams
Boli (U/W), June 22, GNA – The Mankind Food Programme (WFP) through its Food for Work project, has supported five communities in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Bailiwick, with food items to rehabilitate their dams and dugouts with local labour.
The eats package for the whole project which weighed at 98 metric tonnes comprises maize, beans, vegetable oil and corned.
The five beneficiary communities are; Boli, Sagu, Charingu, Kpongu and Yibile.
The Sacred calling of Food and Agriculture (MOFA), the Ghana Irrigation Authority (GIDA) and the Wa Municipal Assembly are collaborating to give mechanical support to the communities.

Addressing a colossal turnout of farmers and party cadres at the Colloctare junction at Reddigunta in Chittoor, where he launched the 'Sagu Poru' stir, Mr Jagan said, “Both the Chief Clergyman, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and the opposition party leader,
