With some exciting pitching depth and an appreciation for making all the summer's hard work pay off, the Johnson's Corner and Crystal View Supplies squads (from Mountain View and Thompson Valley high schools, respectively) claimed their pool move championships Sunday at the Northern Colorado Baseball League Tournament. With the Mountain Lions beating Erie, 6-2, and the Eagles winning down Holy Family, 11-0, the two teams clinched a semifinal berth and will face each other at Eaton Elated School on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The other semifinal pits Eaton and Cheyenne Post 6 at 5 p.m. -- the championship match is set for 8 p.m.

Kollin Evens homered for the second straight game for Johnson's Corner, and Adam Baumann struck out 11 batters in a finalize-game three-hitter. Crystal Landscape Supplies got five breezy innings from Connor Sobraske, and Josh Karlin and Karsen Buschjost came through at the dish in their blowout victory.

"They've really pulled it together, and we were playing well coming into the tournament," said Lions direct Brian Smela. "We beat Greeley West two out of three just before, and that did a lot of good for their confidence. The pitching is what it's all been keyed around, and that has set the tonality. We're getting hits at the right time, and the defense has been great."

FIrst, produce sure you really can make the straight in shots. I thought I could make them, but discovered that I couldn't consistently originate straight in shots that spanned the length of the table. To test it for yourself, set up a straight in shot

Write sure when you go down to take your shot that your eyes are close to the cue, that way you can look straight down it and see where the ball should go, hope this helps :)
