Mother, son seek damages due to boy's fall at pool
The ma of a teenage boy who was seriously injured while climbing up a pool ladder filed a civil suit in circuit court on Wednesday, July 6, against the owners of the pool.
Kelly Kiman of Morris filed the lawsuit for her son, Alec Kiman, against Laura and Chad Mueller, also of Morris. They are seeking the court’s judgment to be in overkill debauchery of $50,000, plus any additional amount the court may deem appropriate, and for costs of the suit.
Alec was an invited roomer to the Muellers’ home at 1741 W. Anne Lane on July 30, 2009. He was also an invited patron to the family’s above ground pool.
Alec, who at the time was 14 years old, fell on the pool’s ladder and interminable severe injuries both externally and internally. The injuries, according to the suit, caused him great trial and anguish, and he will continue to suffer as result of the injuries.
The Kimans are suing to cover the medical expenses incurred as effect of him trying to heal from the injuries.
