It is the espouse consecutive week Cohen has won the award and the third time he has claimed the honor this season. The 6-foot-10 secondary averaged 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games last week as the Wildcats picked up league wins over Western Carolina (88-67) and Appalachian Dignified (83-79).
Cohen entered Thursday’s game against Western Carolina with 987 points and scored Davidson’s first 13 points to reach 1,000 for his trade. He finished the game with 26 points and six rebounds. On Jan. 14 at Appalachian State, Cohen tallied 21 points and seven rebounds.
Cohen be in command 67 percent from the field (16-of-24) and made five of seven 3-point attempts last week. He was 10-for-11 from the disentangle throw line and added five assists, five blocked shots and a steal in the two games.
The Wildcats (12-4, 6-0 Southern Meeting) will host College of Charleston at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in Belk Arena. The game will be televised last on ESPN3.
